Senior School

With the widest curriculum in Wangaratta we can cater to a variety of student interests and career pathways. We aim to provide information to assist students and parents to discuss and then make the very best decisions for life beyond school. 

In Year 10 students are introduced to our vocational study pathways with exclusive programmes including Learning the Liverpool Way - a Liverpool FC International Academy experience. Our state of the art facilities including the new Performing Arts Centre and Sports stadium ensure our students are able to perform to their full potential. 

In additional to our curriculum choices of VCE, VM and VET study pathways our students are supported by a Careers and Pathways team and Learning Leaders to help them with their senior study years.

Year 10

We aim to provide information to assist students and parents to discuss and then make the very best decisions for life beyond school. Students study core subjects and have a choice of elective subjects at Year 10 level.Students study 4 elective units over the year. Over the year students are required to complete at least one unit of Arts, Humanities, Science and Technology.

 Year 10 students can to elect to: 

• Study a Vocational Education and Training (VET) 
• Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) subjects at Unit 1 and 2 level (if Advancement is recommended),
• VET and VCE offerings which are listed in the Year 10 course guide.
• A School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program (SBAT)

VCE, VM and VET

Students may choose to complete only Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) units, VCE units combined with Vocational Educational and Training (VET) modules, or the Vocational Major (VM). They can also include University studies (called Extension Studies) or complete a School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) with their VCE or VCE Vocational Major. In Years 11 and 12 students have the flexibility to study a course that suits their own interests and needs.
